Santa Clara County just joined other Bay Area counties in having an active CARE Court.  This model allows family members and community members to file petitions, requesting that an individual be offered voluntary mental health services.  If the individual refuses, they can be evaluated for court mandated care.  Santa Clara has an outreach & engagement team that can answer your questions & even come out to casually talk to your loved one.  Check out more information here.
